About Travel from Padang Besar
Padang Besar Railway Station is at the far northern end of Malaysia’s West Coast train line and the interchange station for Thai Railway Services. Padang Besar in Malaysia is a small town with few tourist attractions. Travellers come here to travel to and from Thailand through either the road border or alternatively the rail border.
Train Services to Thailand
There are three train services a day to Thailand:
- Train 948: Departing at 11:15 Malaysian time and terminating in Hat Yai
- Train 950: Departing at 16:40 Malaysian time and terminating in Hat Yai
- Train 46: Departing at 18:00 Malaysian time and terminating in Bangkok via Hat Yai and Surat Thani
