Penang Island, and more specifically George Town, which is the main city of Penang Island, is the destination of choice for the majority of visitors to Penang State. The departure point for these ferry services is located on the 2nd level of Penang Sentral Bus Station, which is the nearby main long distance bus station in mainland Penang. Ferry services from Penang Sentral Bus Station depart approximately every 20 minutes from 05:20 until just after midnight and take around 20 minutes to complete the sea crossing.
