About Travel to Johor Bahru

Johor Bahru is the third largest city in Western Malaysia and it’s located at the southern end of the Malay Peninsula close to Singapore.

Tourism in Johor Bahru

Johor Bahru City is not a major tourist destination. The city has a recent history of high crime rates, drug use, and prostitution and many view Johor Bahru as being an unsuitable place to stay longer than it takes to cross the border between Johor Bahru and Singapore.

Outside of the city centre itself, the major tourist attraction is Legoland Malaysia, which features over 40 rides and activities. Legoland Malaysia is easily accessible by public bus from Johor Bahru Sentral Station, which is 23 km from Johor Bahru Sentral Station.

Also outside the city centre, the waterfront Danga Bay development is very pleasant, In addition to the shops and restaurants, Danga Bay has a theme park and a children’s petting zoo.
