About Hat Yai

Most passengers travelling into Thailand from Malaysia via Padang Besar will head straight to Hat Yai, although there is a single train a day from Padang Besar which travels north all the way to Bangkok.

From Hat Yai travellers can take connecting bus services, trains, and flights to destinations across Thailand. Hat Yai is also a city with lots of hotels, restaurants, markets and shops which is popular with short stay visitors from Malaysia and Singapore.
