To reach Kuala Lipis by train, which is a former colonial town deep within the Cameron Highlands, you need to travel along Malaysia’s famous east coast train line more commonly known as the ‘Jungle Line’. Once you enter into Thailand you can resume your journey by train from Sungai Kolok Railway Station, which is 1.4 km from the border. Trains depart daily at 11:30 and 14:20 from Sungai Kolok Railway Station headed northward to Bangkok via Hat Yai, Surat Thani, Chumphon and Hua Hin.
